We are currently searching for a Client Services Manager.

 

Job Summary:  Manages all activities related to the Client Service operations by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate staff. It is anticipated that Managers will also perform other duties within the Client Services department such as Account Executive, but that determination will be made based upon the size of the office and/or the number of staff reporting to the Manager.

 

The Manager will drive the company’s strategic initiatives by supporting the sales function by leading and developing the service team, including mentoring, coaching, and motivating its personnel, continuously looking to improve the customer service experience and the workflows associated with delivering excellent customer service as a contributor to the continuous improvement of processes throughout the Agency.

 

The Manager will take strategic direction from the Agency President but will strive to keep the Agency President out of the day to day duties associated with managing the Client Service department so that the Agency President can concentrate his/her efforts on sales and the development of the Agency sales team.

What You'll Do

  • Provide sales support and service to existing client base throughout Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina
  • Contributes effectively to the operations team which consists of Managers and personnel whose responsibility is to continuously seek to improve the customer service experience, the support of the sales effort, and best practices workflows for the Agency’s Employee Benefits operation.
  • Organize the Client Services team and supervise their performance
  • Solves personnel problems, resolves conflicts, and addresses opportunities within the EB service operation.
  • Assists the Client Service staff with problem solving.
  • Analyzes and organizes office operations and procedures.
  • Creates and manages department structure and enhances process improvements.
  • Drives efficiencies.
  • Standardizes processes and procedures.
  • Promotes quality improvement initiatives.
  • Researches and develops resources that create timely and efficient workflow for various support teams.
  • Build and maintain client relationships
  • Prepares and conducts regular or frequent check-in and annual evaluations for the Client Service staff.
  • Depending on the size of the Client Services staff, the Manager, may also handle a book of business, or have other duties within the Client service team, and the duties and responsibilities for that position will also apply
  • Completing special projects as assigned
  • Following company procedures concerning all essential duties and responsibilities

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or University; or more than six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years manager or supervisor experience preferred
  • Familiarity with insurance products and terminology regarding employee benefits
  • Salesforce experience a plus
  • Manage time and tasks with exceptional organizational skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Life and Health Insurance License or willingness to obtain license
  • Professionalism and integrity a must
  • Onsite client visits are required within NC, SC, and VA
  • Candidate should live in North Carolina, onsite work required
  • Travel required 75%
